You can achieve whatever your mind can conceive of, and my purpose as your coach is to facilitate your journey towards realizing those dreams. Each athlete have their own reasons for participation, and I honor those reasons as your training program is designed. Multisport imparts to all self-realization; each athlete has a vision of him/herself, fulfilling particular goals, and then works and trains to bring that vision into existence. This process is tremendously satisfying; my role is to help and guide you in that process.
Physical success in triathlon comes from six pillars: efficiency, nutrition, recovery, mental performance, aerobic development, and musculoskeletal development. Part of my role is to educate and instruct you on how to develop and strengthen each of your six pillars. My training programs address each of the pillars through efficient workouts. Regular testing provides the tools to measure your progress in each of these pillars.
Balance is essential in multisport–inside and outside training. Within training, I will help you to address your weaknesses in each sport while not letting your strengths fall by the wayside. Outside training, I will work with you to create a workout schedule that allows you to have balance between training and your life: work, family, etc.
Habit is the essence of who we are; likewise our habits in training are what determines our long term success and satisfaction in multisport. Part of my role is to help you inculcate sustainable, healthy habits in your workouts, nutrition, and mental training so that you have longevity and satisfaction with the sport.
How we feel about ourselves as athletes and our achievements is more important than our number-based results. Part of my role is to help you focus on the strength that is already within you and to harness it to achieve your multisport goals. I do that by working with you to do regular holistic self-evaluations.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you in multisport.
